It’s no secret I’m a big breakfast gal (breakfast before coffee, ladies!). This simple dutch baby pancake is one of my favorite easy ways to whip up a quick breakfast without a ton of cleanup. All you need is a blender & a cast iron skillet! I’ve adapted a traditional dutch baby recipe to have a bit of protein using Collagen- that way you get all the yumminess of pancakes, plus the protein your body needs!

Ingredients:

3 large eggs, at room temp

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup whole milk, at room temp

1 tablespoon sugar

2 scoops of Perfect Supplements Collagen Protein – optional (you can use code HAYDEN10 for 10% off, every time!)

pinch of nutmeg (I never have actual nutmeg on hand, so I use a drop of Young Living Nutmeg Vitality essential oil)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

any toppings you’d like!

The Recipe:

  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees & keep skillet inside the oven to heat.

2. Combine eggs, flour, milk, sugar, collagen + nutmeg in a blender. Blend until everything is incorporated and smooth.

3. Put butter in your skillet and let it melt. Once melted, add batter to the pan. Place the skillet in the oven & bake for 20 minutes until your dutch baby pancake is golden brown and puffed up around the edges.

4. Remove from oven, cut, top with your favorite toppings & enjoy!
