today, for day nine, I’ve gathered together a short & sweet list for the mamas-to-be! there are just a handful of items that are so good for the mamas out there, I had to add this as a special little list that serves them. if that’s you, I hope you love this list!

01 / a robe

a good robe will be your uniform in the first few weeks with your little one, and for good reason! they’re ultra-practical, easy to throw in the wash, and basically a wearable burp rag which is a win in so many ways. Parachute’s Cloud Cotton Robe has been my favorite for years- I’d highly recommend it for any new mamas!

02 / postpartum-friendly denim

a surefire way to feel a bit more yourself in the postpartum days is to throw on some cute clothes. these postpartum jeans from Blanqi have a built-in belly band made to support your body as it continues to shift. they’re buttery soft, and so cozy- I wear them even now that I’m not postpartum, because they’re just that good.

03 / hot water bottle with cover

the aches & pains of postpartum are made so much more manageable with a heating pad, and these bottles with soft, sweater-like covers are so cozy! I’d recommend having one or two of these on hand for the postpartum season (or even throughout pregnancy for the aches that come along with growing a baby!)

04 / Postpartum hydration water bottle

the Mama Bottle by Bink seamlessly transitions from pregnancy to postpartum with hydration tracking meant to help you keep up with your water intake, which is essential to breastfeeding! I got this bottle in my first trimester with Shay and it carried me through all of my postpartum season. now I have two, in Coco and Sand, and love to use them for adrenal cocktails and smoothies too!

05 / Instacart subscription

having food on deck for postpartum, and the ability to have it delivered as needed is a gift I didn’t know I could’ve used until I was in the thick of it. nourishment is essential for sanity, for breastfeeding, and for just about every facet of motherhood. consider investing in Instacart, or meal subscriptions such as Hello Fresh, making grocery shopping & meals one less thing to juggle.

06 / casual sneakers

whether it comes to stroller walks, chasing toddlers, or simply being on the go, a good pair of casual sneakers is essential for mom life. I’ve been eyeing some from Cariuma, a Certified B Corp that makes sneakers of self-regenerating bamboo and recycled plastics! plus, they plant two trees in the Brazilian rainforest for every purchase!

07 / fresh, linen bedding

the postpartum season should be full of rest, and one of the suggestions I always give to mom-freinds-to-be is to invest in your bedding. use this as your opportunity to upgrade your sleep setup and, trust me, you’ll be glad you did! we love linen because it stays cool, it’s easy to clean, and it gets softer with every wash. of course, my very favorite source for all things linen bedding is Parachute (keep an eye out for their Black Friday sale, it’ll all be 20% off!)

08 / cozy, nursing-friendly pjs

a cozy set of pjs are a staple in postpartum.. between pjs and a robe, I wore almost nothing else for the first few weeks! these ones from Lake Pajamas look so cozy and I love that they tie in the front, making them incredibly practical for nursing- I’d be living in them!
