Happy November first! I’m not quite sure how we’ve already made it to November, but somehow it’s here & that means Christmas is right around the corner. Each year as we enter into the holiday season, I find myself feeling unintentionally hurried and overwhelmed by gifting. That typically ends in a mad dash towards mid-December and an anxious scramble to purchase gifts in a rush. In turn, the intentionality becomes (sadly) stripped away and replaced with what can be ordered quickly & delivered on time, and we end up wayyy over budget.
This year, I decided to breathe more intentionality into the holiday season by shopping early, planning ahead, and budgeting well. We’re focused on quality, specific gifts that shower the people we love with intention without inducing anxiousness all season long.
Enter: 12 days of intentional gift guides! I’ve listed twelve different demographics/personalities and developed gift guides geared towards them for you to shop, to inspire you in your shopping, or to inspire your own Christmas lists. Each guide will be filled with gifts of many price ranges so that you can shop in whatever price range you’re most comfortable with. I’ll also share sale information & discount codes (as best as I can) so that you can shop well during the sales & save some money along the way. Here’s a peek into the 12 days:
The thread that ties each list together is quality, slow, intentional gifting. Gifts that foster slowness, care or nourishment, and small businesses- oftentimes the gifts your people would love but maybe wouldn’t get themselves.
Today is November 1, and we’re starting off with a personal favorite- cozy gifts for the homebody. This is your one-stop-shop for all things warm & inviting. Gifts in this guide would also pair wonderfully with some of the self-care favorites I’ll share on Friday 🙂
Without any further intro, here’s the guide!
shop anything available on amazon here! (& some bonus finds, too)
01/ to wear & lounge
slippers: I didn’t realize how much I’d use a good pair of slippers until I had them, and life has been incredibly cozy since. Parachute’s Shearling Wool Clogs are my favs (keep an eye out for their Black Friday sale, they’ll be 20% off!)
beanies: nothing cozier, even for the homebodies staying indoors! this Boucle Beanie from Target has been a recent fav — I took it camping a few weeks ago and have been so impressed by the quality for only $15. For an upgrade to Cashmere, Quince has Mongolian Cashmere beanies for under $30 in tons of gorgeous colors!
linen pants & button-down loungewear set: elevate the loungewear game with a matching linen set! Parachute’s Linen Pant & Linen Button Down are so cozy & get softer with every wash. They’re already nearly 60% off, but will be an additional 20% off during their Black Friday sale. (word to the wise, this clearance section sells out FAST)
robe: this one makes the list every time in my opinion – I have the Cloud Cotton Robe from Parachute myself and have gifted it time & time again to family and friends. again, wait for the sale, but be sure to grab it early because they always sell out! ps: this is a great gift for moms, mother-in-laws, grandmas, etc!
02 / beautiful coffee table books
high quality, beautiful books are so fun to have sitting on the table or shelf to flip through and get inspired. a few favorites —
HABITAT by Lauren Liess – a practical field-guide style book chalked full of resources for designing your own space
Alabaster Co. Books of the Bible – these are real books of the bible, printed on beautiful pages alongside stunning imagery. They’re beautiful for reading & for decor! alb-haydenloalbo saves you 15% on their entire site.
Sacred Spaces by Carley Summers: an absolutely moving book of interviews & images inside the homes of everyday people all over the world. Carley’s story is incredible and the emotion she captures in this book is powerful. For more of her story of redemption & freedom, she was also a guest on the Love in a Cottage podcast and shares her testimony there!
if your cozy pal loves to read, a Kindle is a great option to cut down on the cost of physical books
04 / coffee/teas & accessories
coffee: going into a local coffee shop, especially one that roasts their own beans, will always be my first choice. but, if you need a good place to find clean, organic coffee, Purity Coffee is a great place to start! You can use this link to get $20 off your first purchase.
single cup ceramic pourover / ember bluetooth coffee mug (keeps your coffee warm!)
of course, you can find teas almost anywhere, including local shops in your area. however, if you’re looking for good organic teas & accessories, I love Mountain Rose Herbs.

+ Cuir Tose Candle by Oak Essentials: “Balancing masculine and feminine, bold and understated, familiar and unexpected, Cuir Rose plays with the beauty of natural nuance—like sea-dampened blooms on the California coastline or the storied past of a vintage leather jacket” cruelty-free, non-GMO and organic whenever possible, and always formulated without silicones, colorants, sulfates, phthalates, parabens, PEGs, petrolatum, mineral oil, and nanoparticles
+ Candle Sets: these gift sets from Charleston Candle Co. allows you to pick 4 of their scents, packaged in beautiful gold embossed tins & all made of natural soy wax. + Table linens can be such a cozy gift for someone who loves to entertain others in their space. There’s just something about linen napkins & tablecloths that elevate a dinner party.
