It’s a little late in the month to be talking about my May favorites, but better late than never! May was a month of finally feeling like springtime & so many of these products I’ve used and love reflect that. May felt fresh & warm & exciting & all things sunshiny — cheers to summer, friends!

01 / Purple Swimsuit

this is hands-down my favorite one-piece swimsuit right now. the crinkle material, the square neck & the full-ish coverage make it so flattering! I’ve had another suit in the same brand for 2.5 years now, and it’s held up beautifully

02 / H&M Gingham PJs

my DMs explodedddd when I posted these summery pjs. the green I have is no longer being made, but there are some adorable neutrals that are perfect for lounging (and super nursing friendly)

03 / Vanilla Bean Paste

I finally ran out of my Trader Joe’s Vanilla Bean Paste stock from last fall (I bought 10 lol), so I had to invest in more! I use this in lattes, homemade vanilla bean simple syrup, whipped cream, and basically anywhere else you need vanilla extract. The flavor is so much richer & stronger and I love this one from amazon!

04 / Merit Shade Slick Lip Gloss in Jeté

like your fav childhood lipgloss on a totally elevated, beautiful scale. this gloss is so hydrating, not sticky at all, and the perfect sheer pink. I neverrrr wear lipstick/color because I can never find colors that look right, but this gloss is 10/10. I’ve also been adding their Flush Balm in Fox to my lips underneath for fancy events & it’s finally a lip color I’m obsessed with.

05 / Magnolia Table Volume 3

Joanna Gaines does it again! I’m a sucker for all things Chip & Jo, and Landon surprised me with her latest & greatest cookbook on Mother’s Day. I can’t wait to dive in! I really feel like I need to cook through her book, “Julie & Julia” style, one recipe at a time.

06 / OSEA Malibu Body Oil

this stuff literally smells like a tropical vacation + a resort spa day at the same time. It is heavenly, especially on sunkissed skin, and the bottle lasts forever! I got mine at Christmas time and I’m only about halfway through. body oil, especially in the summertime, just feels superior to a lotion!

07 / Atlas Fanny Pack

my love for a good fanny pack runs deep, and Mandrn’s gorgeous leather versions have been my tried + true for the past 6 months. I love how practical the Atlas size is for both work & mom life. If you’re looking for a sustainable, ethically made leather bag for yourself, code HAYDEN15 gets you 15% off their entire site!

08 / Marguerite Convertible Earrings

simple gold hoops add so much to even the most casual outfits, but these hoops are convertible, giving you 2 earrings in one! the large pearls make such a statement for dressy occasions- I wore them in 2 weddings this month- and you can slip them off for delicate, everyday hoops whenever you want. truly genius! (Code HAYDEN15 also gives you 15% off the entire Of Great Value site!)

Motherhood & Toddler Favs

01 / Toddler Car Seat

It was finally time to upgrade from the infant car seat this month! I had tons of DMs from other mamas in the same boat, so I thought I’d include our final choice in this roundup. I was looking for an easy-to-install, affordable, safe car seat that would be practical for years to come. This is the one we went with (times 2, one for each car!) and we’re really happy with it so far.

02 / Baby Toothbrush & Flouride-Free Toothpaste

with six teeth and plenty more on the way, I decided it was time to upgrade from the finger toothbrushes and give Shay a proper toothbrush. He’s been loving this one from Mushie, and I love that it has a safety stop so that he can’t stick it all the way down his throat. We also grabbed this fluoride-free training toothpaste, which has no dyes, preservatives or fluoride- so it’s safe if swallowed.

03 / Lalo Play Set

toddlers throwing food stresses me outtt, and I read that sitting toddlers at a table, rather than in a high chair, can sometimes help with this. we decided to give it a shot and grabbed this Play Set from Lalo for Shay to eat at! He doesn’t eat every meal here, because ultimately I like that he sits with us at the table, but we’ve noticed he definitely likes the independence at a table his size. He has also been using the table for so much more than eating & it’s been a great play spot for him!

04 / baby training cups

these tiny cups are great for teaching babies how to use cups! they’re weighted at the bottom, so they help with balance and establishing hand-eye coordination. yes- Shay dumps it all over himself quite frequently, but it’s not a huge deal and it’s going to happen as he learns!
